Nicole is originally from Huntsville, Alabama and lives and has worked in Birmingham, Alabama since graduating college and law school there. She has worked in the legal profession for 25 years and has been licensed to practice law since 2000. For 16 years, Nicole worked with the law firm of Smith & Alspaugh, P.C., formerly Hogan, Smith & Alspaugh, P.C. where she handled product liability, trucking, medical malpractice and premise liability cases. She and Don collaborated on cases for over a decade while they practiced in different states and firms. In 2015, Nicole joined the newly formed Slavik Law Firm, LLC where she continues to specialize in product liability litigation, focused mainly but not exclusively on automobile and tire cases.
Nicole is admitted to practice in all Alabama state and federal courts, the Eleventh and Sixth Federal Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a member of the American Association for Justice, Public Justice Foundation, Attorneys Information Exchange Group and other organizations dedicated to helping injured clients or their estates obtain justice. The Slavik Law team have cases pending in multiple state and federal jurisdictions, including multi-district and class action litigation cases throughout the nation. Nicole’s legal career has been and continues to be motivated by improving the safety of products and vehicles and the environment in which they operate.
